Toyendale Chapter 7

Chapter 7
Daisy was never a fan of hiking but that specific toyday she had no choice, but to walk. The path to Starview was tiresome than she had expected it to be since the ground was made of nutty putty and the softness of it made it much harder for them to walk. They were at Dryhill, which is the highest point after Mount Phoenix in Toyendale. ‘’As high the Dryhill is, as low the Starview will be,’’ informed Nana, everybody. Nana knew Toyendale as if she had drawn it herself in her mind.
The trip will take long enough and as Silver Star doesn’t like talking much, Daisy started chatting with Nana and Tiny. After the geography lesson on Toyendale, Nana also told Daisy about her family. She was the sister of other trolls that she had met briefly before. And clearly, she is the strongest of them.
“It’s not okay to bully anyone,” Nana said. Daisy nodded and thought about her own faults. She bullied her sister, but at the same time when someone tried to bully her sister, Daisy was always there to fight with the bully and sadly she continued bullying her sister for not standing up to the bully. In the end, what she did was not nice as well. She called it defending my sister but she secretly enjoyed making the classmates of Summer cry.
“I am really sorry,” Daisy said to Tiny.
“Don’t be. You are a nice toy person.”
“I am not. I did bully some people in the past, including my sister.”
“Then you have to make it right!” said Nana and patted Daisy over the head.
Shortly after, Silver Star shouted, “Hide!”. They all ducked down. Daisy held her breath and watched the troop of tin soldiers marching towards the South of the Dryhill. Her nose was really itchy because of the smell of the nutty putty, she always sneezed whenever she played with it. She couldn’t hold her sneeze any longer. ''Achoo!'' One of the soldiers heard this strange noise and stopped. Nana put Daisy’s head to her chest. Daisy was not able to breathe in between Nana's thick fur but somehow it made her calm just as when she hugged her teddy bear. The soldier was coming towards the Silver Star and without any choice, he showed himself to the soldier to take his attention from the opposite direction which Daisy and trolls were hiding.
“What are you doing here?” the soldier asked Silver Star.
“I am going home,’’ said Silver Star which came as a shock to Daisy. She didn’t know that Silver Star was from Icelynn. Why did he hide it in the first place?
“Are you one of the queen’s guards?”
Yes, I am returning from a mission.’’
‘’There you go’’ replied the soldier and continued to catch his troop. When the soldiers were out of sight, Daisy, Nana and Tiny left the tiny nutty putty hill they were hiding behind.
‘’You are from Icelynn,’’ Daisy asked. She had a dozen questions prepared in her mind for Silver Star.
‘’I grew up in the Castle Sapphire, my parents are part of queen’s guard. And I was also...Nevermind! Let's continue!’’ he did not want to talk about it and continued on the path to Starview. Nana told Tiny and Daisy to stay behind and got closer to Silver Star. It looked like these two are having an argument. About a toyhour later or so, Daisy realized finally they arrived at Starview. The ground looked like the darkest blue and full of stars.
‘’Waoww!’’ she said. Only their path was made of glass. She wanted to check the stars by herself and ran towards the starry fields. A millisecond later she found herself deep down in water. She tried to reach the surface but something was pulling her into the darkness of the lake or whatever that was. Then a hand reached out to her and pulled her up. It was Nana, she hugged Daisy so tight that she couldn’t breath again properly.
‘’Give her some space,’’ said Silver Star to Nana.
Tiny gave a blanket to cover Daisy even though she did not feel cold anymore as if she became a part of toy community in Toyendale.
‘’What was that?’’ she asked.
‘’You should have never left the path, it is dangerous to walk freely on Starview, there are millions of lakes out there, and they all reflect the sky. It is impossible to find the ground there. No impulsiveness, young doll!’’ she said as if Fiona was there to scold Daisy after she did something really dangerous.
They continued their path until the sky was completely covered with a rainbow. Another toyday has just started. Finally, Daisy saw the sea at the end of their path.
